Feels very much like a medly of Ghibli - the influence of Marnie, the Cat Returns, Spirited Away, and more. Probably their most beautiful ever, animation, character and world design as wonderful as ever. The story can feel loose, at times even incoherent, but it commits to its themes and metaphor with an earnestness typical of Miyazaki's best. Inevitably wonderful.
