With such a superior first half, James Gunn's The Suicide Squads crashes down in its finale, most of the things that happen post them reaching Jotunheim made me facepalm. There are glimpses of good shid in there, that might make you let go of all the terrible things in there on the first time, but on a re-watch, the flaws are as apparent as day, and you just can't ignore them.

Aubrey Plaza’s statement that says she’s much more than that dead-pan persona of her hits real good. Emily the Criminal is not a perfect film at all, it has underdeveloped characters, predictable plot, the movie does not take any major leap, tries to stay in the safe zone. And yet it works really well, it works really well as a single-performance centric movie owing to Plaza’s superlative performance backed by very well-settled tone that is very gritty and noir-esque.
