In this deeply intellectual film mr Herzog once again has made something truly godlike and congenius to his best works such as “even dwarfs started small”. What particularly impresses me is the way Werner opens up the controversial persona of the mysterious composer, he looks at him from the eyes of various ordinary people, f.e. “The kitchen episode”, in which both Herzog and cooks cant even decide was this person god or devil… Probably, some of cinema peasants…
