lying between the axes of women's rights, poverty, marriage, religious conduct, and the Iranian legal system, this film is a tragedy like no other. a family is sentenced to ruin by no fault of their own but the consequence of alzheimer's. while this disease is crushing on its own, Farhadi manages to add more weight on the soul with every facial movement, sigh, and glance.
