    ★★★½

Castle in the Sky is a story full of mystery and adventure. This film’s characters are what really shine throughout its runtime. Each character is unique and dynamic, and truly leave an impact on the story even if they only appear for a few minutes. The third act of this movie had me at the edge of my seat the entire time but also taking time to enjoy the endearing character development. I totally recommend this film to anyone who enjoys fantasy and sci-fi because honestly this is one of the best blends of the two.

From Up on Poppy Hill is a very unique story about the many forms of love. The two main characters of Umi and Shun are engaging and complex which makes every scene feel impactful.

    ★★★★½

The world that this movie builds in just 90 minutes is so fascinating! There’s not a second wasted. The film is always telling you something new and interesting whether it’s through its visuals, dialogue or music. The English voice actors, especially the one for Nausicaä herself, give absolutely breathtaking performances. You can feel the emotion in every cry, shout and cheer. I highly recommend giving Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind a watch. You won’t regret it!
