If you’re not viewing this at the Hayden Orpheum Picture Palace, after a 15 minute performance by 4 showgirls doing fanography and a complimentary prosecco in hand, you’re doing it wrong. Besides all the ritz and glamour, the film is honestly pretty depressing. Pam is so captivating to watch and this role was made for her. The Substance 2024
Never have I felt so queasy and repulsed, yet so obsessed and entertained by what was happening before me. I can confidently say I loved it- graphic, stomach turning, surreal and unlike any plot-line that I’d seen before.
I would not recommend this to Tyson Williams (faints at the sight of a needle) in the slightest. So, if you feel similarly to Tyson Williams I guarantee you’ll be out the door within the first 20 minutes.
