the first time i watched La Chimera was on an airplane with the tiny screen on the back of the chair. the last 20 minutes left my cheeks wet, and i promised myself i’d watch it again on a real screen. today, i take away not only the beautiful words, the energy of the characters, the message on life and death, but the beauty and invigoration in every shot. a masterpiece in my eyes.
