Lady Bird 2017
lady bird is loved by many and now i know exactly why. it’s the perfect coming of age movie that really makes you feel like you’re right there with her. i cringed, i laughed, i cried, i felt everything i was supposed to feel. love and attention as the same thing is the perfect theme for this movie and it was perfectly displayed and specifically appealed to me bc i also subscribe to that belief.

it’s been years since i watched this but i still had that same warm and familiar feeling watching this. the whole cast was excellent and everyone was gorgeous, taye diggs has never looked better tbh. sid and dre were so messy and did too much but that’s a staple of every best friends to lovers trope. their chemistry was so excellent tho so i was giggling at the screen. we so badly need more black romcoms that are good like this.

finally logging this like months later but i absolutely loved this show. it was so calming bc of the pretty scenery at that time of year and their jobs but also frustrating at the same time bc i never knew there could be so many terrible men in one show. the soundtrack is perfect, i loved every single song and i would get excited to sing along bc the same songs played so often lol. the main couple was so cute and im glad they got their happy ending <3
