One of the most well-done cosmic horror films I’ve ever seen, The Void draws a lot of notes from predecessors such as The Thing, Reanimator, and the Hellraiser franchise.
It was clearly made with the word “Lovecraftian” in mind, and viewers that aren’t familiar with the author and his style will likely find the plot confusing, but some excellently crafted scenes will still keep them engaged until the end.

There’s a good movie in the first 40 minutes, and in the last 20 minutes. In between… not much else great.
Few good scenes here and there, but so much of the dialogue was cliche, unusual, and stilted. It’s hard to take it seriously when people don’t talk like people, and I don’t mean the cultists.

Wow… this movies is offensively bad. Every aspect of it is like a cheese grater to your brain. Grimcutty is a horror movie about an ill-defined viral internet challenge where a character named Grimcutty forces children to hurt themselves or others. It’s practically entirely based off of the Momo challenge craze of 2019, with only very minor differences, and that feels like the movie’s whole existence. Capitalizing on a trend that died off years ago.

    The characters are incredibly annoying,…

A documentary that sets out to do what it wanted to do and not much more. It’s educational, and certainly documents some fascinating and stressful events that come with the often glamorized world of conservation, but it’s not going to win any awards. Its a good, short watch.
