Fun heist movie but needed a little more conflict that wasn’t accomplished by 2 guards barely doing their jobs and by the FBI hurriedly investigating at the end of the movie.

Cool, interesting, unique movie. Samuel L Jackson’s worst performance I’ve seen unfortunately. Ending wanted to be a bigger deal than it was. Some of the best camera work I’ve seen. I liked the on-the-nose symbolism, too. My biggest issue is I feel like Glass being behind the disasters doesn’t impact the audience much, at least in the way it was revealed (as I mentioned). I wish the movie instead left us questioning until the end whether he’s a superhero, as it was for most of the movie. The child shooting his dad would have been a much more shocking/memorable/impactful ending, rather than a faux climax.

Upon rewatching, a 4/5 is a correct rating for this movie, but it was definitely more entertaining the first time around. Even knowing that there is a twist somewhat ruins this movie, as it’s fairly obviously going to be who it ends up being, and the movie doesn’t do a good enough job of convincing you otherwise. Without being able to lean on the twist, it’s a relatively clunky and generic heist plot. Great upon first watch, just meh (but still enjoyable) after that.
