“Scene D’Amour” is an all at once kind of film score.
As a musical arrangement, it can be considered a mid-century triumph for the “killing me softly” and “bring ‘em to tears” movements of the late 1950s (probably?)
Recording was done in London and Vienna, in early 1958, but that was not as originally planned. Because of the ongoing musicians strike in Los Angeles at the time, they had to take their orchestra to Europe (definitely)
