  It took me a long time to finally watch this one but I’m glad I did. It’s unsettling and awkward. The ending caught me by surprise and was for me the most chilling scene. I’m not crazy about found footage as a genre but I feel the dialogue and acting skills of Mark Duplass save the movie.

  I’m a big fan of imaginary friends as a theme in horror and feel it’s often not done right. This movie did okay. There’s a couple good jump scares and one great image of the entity. Reminds me a little of Insidious. I wish the 3rd act was longer and less lazy but overall entertaining watch!

  While watching, I kept thinking wow this is everything I need in a horror movie right now. It kept my attention, plot is simple in a good way, the acting is decent, and there’s some twists. I’m also a big fan of “creepy child” horror movies. Characters turning on each other made for an intense experience and I think the pacing worked well. I will say, the third act could have been better/less predictable.

  Star-studded but totally forgettable. Took way too long to get interesting. Did absolutely nothing unique in terms of a shark movie and played it super safe.
