Like Snowpiercer and Okja before it, Bong creates a very straightforward critique of late stage capitalism through an unconventional storytelling structure. Personally though this one just worked better for me, in part due to an all time Robert Pattinson performance (bro continues to deepen his bag) and some true laugh out loud moments. Mark Ruffalo’s performance as Elon Trump mixed in with his character from Poor Things is subtle as a brick and the ending left something to be desired but still a great time at the movies.
