  After watching this I felt no connection to the characters and I felt no impact on me, however not every film needs either of those. This film is nothing short of admirable.

  This films beautiful cinematography and sets, mixed with witty and fast (bordering on too fast) dialogue with probably the most packed cast I've ever seen, makes for the most Wes Anderson film to date.

  There's so many times in this film where I went "oh, this is cool" and then the Russo's overconfidence and arrogance ruins it. A perfect example would be the narration that runs throughout the entire film ruining any semblance of good film making. Not because a narration is bad (Scorsese does it very effectively) but it is bad when it is used constantly and as a crux to deliver exposition.

  This film trys so hard to be a deep and meaningful "masterpiece", but in that effort they completely fail to even make a good film.
