  along with the uncomfortable acting, and the getaway car being so slow (??) the idea that the pinnacle of women's oppression is being doomed to being a housewife is so off-putting. it comes off as insensitive to the gravity of real misogyny, which is such a darker tale to tell. this could have been great, and that is why it's so bad.

  objectifying every female in a story and using her as a tool to push narrative isn’t the epic directing move you think it is. How people watch this and don’t realize it’s somebody’s inc*st fetish playing out is literally beyond me, it’s such a shame because of the incredible performances, sfx, and cinematography.
