My Policeman 2022
My Policeman was simple, yet incredibly nuanced. It captured the raw emotions of yearning and pining so well, and captured the aftermath of these emotions even better. As compared to the book that was centred on Marion’s perspective, the shift to Patrick and Tom’s relationship was interesting and made the story more well-balanced. From Tom’s persisting guilt to Marion’s conflicting betrayal, this film was an engaging portrayal of navigating through a foreign feeling in a close-minded society.
