If I could describe the film in one word, I'd say: infuriating. There were moments when I wanted to smash my screen so badly because the scenes were just unbearable to watch, like really. It's stressful to the point of death and that's what makes the film so interesting to watch and experience. Joker 2019
This film made an impression on me at the time because it had an incredible story. The twists and turns are an integral part of its charm. I'd read in some reviews that "humanizing" Joker was a mistake, but personally, it gave me a better understanding of his deep resentments and helped me ponder the question "What makes a bad guy bad?". The film answers the question superbly, and you'll almost agree with it.

Portrait of a Lady on Fire 2019
Beautifully shot with breathtaking sceneries in Brittany. Just a simple film about falling in love. Natural and elegant. Loved the formal language they used throughout the film, it added a medieval feel that I liked a lot. The only con I can point to is the length that feels kind of excessive.
