The Brutalist 2024
this film was thoroughly disappointing and pretentious. the whole script felt so hollow i'd argue it was never finished. The film was 3 hours long with an intermission. I'm impressed with the acting, everybody acted their asses off and the stylistic choices was incredible. But Brady Corbet, only sought to satisfy the triangle of Oscar bait, solid actors, solid aesthetic , a powerful theme. Completely forego depth!! Nobody will notice. its NUTS the amount of times this film missed opportunities…
