fr tho this is a good movie, audrey slays with the recc once again. i fuck with benji's insane big feelings and attitude around like the constant overwhelming dissonance of being a postmodern citizen and david's neurotic behaviors and desperate clinging to his normal life to stave off dealing with his own feelings of inadequacy and facing trauma and history. both of these guys would be terrible to be around but they serve as excellent narrative foils.

as a bug lover, biology nerd and cartoonist this movie makes me mad. these ants look ugly as fuck, but some designs were better then others, the flies were cute :]
in terms of story this was kind of just a mid liars revealed plot. it didnt really have a clear message either other then some vague like pro-union sentiments, which i guess is the most 'child safe' social critique you can do with ants? if you don't want to make use of the obvious allegories of monarchies or colonialism.
