“Like Life”
Super mixed on this one
At the beginning I was sure I was going to hate it but it really grew on me as it went. I appreciate the way it looks, made me laugh, and had fun with itself.
Interesting approach to the monkey paw but definitely carried by the performances. Only real actors could make some of this shit work
Wasn’t expecting Zack and Cody with my goat Tatiana Maslani as Carrie, but here we are
Lot of fun despite being about the absurdity and definitive nature of death

What a time. I can’t possibly rate this objectively as a film without the context of it coming out. A true vanity project. Is this meant to be taken seriously? I have no idea. Was I geeked as hell? Absolutely. Genuinely good ideas and commentaries, with some of the most bafflingly garish decisions I’ve ever seen. Moments where it looks like pure shit. I would honestly watch this again because Francis really went out and did that shit
