This was good. This movie made a really interesting choice of making the climax a completely different tone than the rest of the film. Once the killer is caught, there’s no detective music or jokes like usual. The killer was not a spooky, but cool, twist villain. He’s just a disturbing perverted man you’d read about in a headline. After the killer is caught, the protagonist’s life is arguably way better. Everyone respects him now, and business is great, but that doesn’t change that he witnessed some of the worst the mankind has to offer.

This movie lacks in a lot of ways. But for an unnecessary sequel, it’s not bad at all. They had some interesting Character dynamics that I thought would be a bigger focus, but they didn’t have time to explore them more. So now I’m in a weird place where I’m disappointed in the movie, but wouldn’t be mad if they made another(which they will) so I can satisfy the itch that I was left with. But Moana was the least interesting part of the movie, so maybe don’t do that next time.
