I really enjoyed the way they wrote and portrayed almut’s character as a multi-dimensional person who was not only a very driven competitive woman who achieves all her goals but also a good mother who had balance in her life, is not something that is portrayed a lot on film.
Also, Pugh and Garfield have amazing chemistry. Their dynamic made the show even more engaging, especially during the realistic (and thankfully not overly dramatic) arguments in their relationship. It felt like a genuine portrayal of a healthy, complex partnership, which I really appreciated.
