The Day of the Jackal 2024
Great adaptation of the 1970s film, I have to give credit to how well-written this series is. The pacing is just right, and I thoroughly enjoyed Eddie Redmayne's take on the Jackal character - a bit more nuanced, contrasting the original.
I think this is one of this year's best shows hands down, it managed to be an enjoyable modern take on an old story without being unfaithful to the source material.

Venom: The Last Dance 2024
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
The last entry in the recent Venom trilogy felt so underwhelming. While there was a lot of fan service for comic book readers, overall it was such a let down. The film threw in Knull immediately and lazily dumps exposition regarding the codex and other symbiotes. It just feels so rushed and devoid of any meaningful buildup that actually makes you pay attention.
With it's highs being the amazing CGI work, some gory moments that punches through it's PG-13 rating at times, and how Eddie Brock's relationship with Venom was written; the lows still overwhelmed it for me to consider it a good movie.

Rumble in the Bronx 1995
This film gave me an early peek at Jackie Chan's first attempts into getting with the american mainstream back then. The whole thing leaves much to be desired, but overall it was such a goofy experience and I loved it.
