  A very simple and strait forward story that shines through its focus on its characters. My favorite feeling when watching a movie is not knowing what will happen, but believing that the story knows what it’s doing, that the things I’m noticing are happening for a reason, and that my questions will be answered. This was the case while watching this movie, so I feel like it’s a W. There were moments where I felt like it could have been better, but overall, a beautiful story.

  WARNING: This movie is very long and the dialogue is entirely in Russian. 

  Tarkovsky’s Stalker is widely regarded as one of the great cultural products of the Soviet Union, and one of the best science fiction movies of the 20th century.
