  As someone who's only experience with the Wizard of Oz is the 1978 film called 'The Wiz', I had a lot of fun with this film. Cynthia Erivo, Ariana Grande, and Jonathan Bailey all give standout musical performances, and I really look forward to seeing where the plot is headed in Part II.

  Blade Runner 1982

  This film is honestly pretty surface level, and I feel like other pieces of cyberpunk media have delved into similar themes in more interesting ways. It doesn't really get all that engaging until the third act, which, to me, carries most of the film. Deckard is a boring protagonist and Roy's monologue is the only standout moment for me, everything else just blends together. And don't even get me started on the "romance". Overall, it's a watchable film that has some good moments, but I don't really get the critical acclaim, other than the fact that the visuals were ahead of its time.
