  I kinda liked it. It was fun. Idk if it would have been if not for Mammootty but that's another thing.

  Decent script that feels almost like the climax was written first and then everything else written around to accommodate that climax. Either way it was fine for me.

  The climactic twist was teeny tiny bit predictable imo. And both the interval block and ending of the film felt a bit too abrupt. Like GVM had no idea how to end the film.

  What you see is what you get. A “tribute” to A History of Violence in Lokesh’s words, this is in every aspect a Lokesh film more than a Vijay film. Hence, I was completely satisfied watching a Vijay film after 6 long years, since Theri to be exact.

  At the same time last year, I remember being scared to my core watching one of the best horror films to come out of Mollywood. Bhootakalam. A movie that managed to terrify the shit out of me without any gimmicks.
