The tv-adaptation of Normal People brought me to this film, because of the director Lenny Abrahamson. But also Jack Reynor - who apparently is very good at portraying terrible boyfriends haha, both in Midsommar and in What Richard Did.

I didn't know anything about the film before watching it, but of course the title made me wonder "what Richard did" - and it honestly wasn't what I'd expected.

It's a good film, slow paced and beautifully shot, depicting privilege, entitlement,…

This film took me completely by surprise - it's beautiful, heartbreaking and healing, all at the same time.

Anastasia was my favourite movie when I was little, and I still love it (and watch it embarrassingly often, on nights where I can't fall asleep).
I love Don Bluth, but the animation is pretty terrible at times - for some reason it doesn't bother me though. Probably out of nostalgia.. But the story is lovely, there are so many cute and funny little details, and Meg Ryan and John Cusacks voice acting is great!

My brain says 3 stars, but my heart says 5.

I was really surprised by this! It's obviously very different from Miyazaki's later films, and I didn't like the passive princess who had to wait for a man to rescue her. But Miyazaki has definitely redeemed himself with his later films with iconic strong female characters. So besides the princess, Lupin the Third: The Castle of Cagliostro still had that Miyazaki magic, and I absolutely loved it!
