  this movie is good…like good in a way that i can imagine watching this during each season of colder breezes and crispy leaves crunching below my feet.

  good in a way that i can imagine it being a staple between me and my long term partner. in the way that when we have kids our children will love sally’s high maintenance and harry’s wit. 

  good in a way that one day my kids will normalize the idea of always finding friendship and then love and not the other way around.

  Simply looking at the movie poster for the Black Orpheus enticed me.

  Nevertheless, I could have never imagined the colorful romance rollercoaster that I was in for. Black Orpheus filled my evening with music, joy, color, and passion! As a girl who used to live in New Orleans, the Carnival environment of Brazil that this film is set in absolutely filled my eyes with admiration. The costumes, the color, the excitement throughout the film is more than I could have…
