The plot is dynamic, the characters are complex, the conflict is realistic, the sister relationship is on point. This is how you make a movie about culture! This is how you make a movie about women!   This is one of my favorite movies ever. It was never actually about being perfectly historicallly accurate, its about girlhood. It reminds you that she was just a teen girl. Sofia Coppola chose one of the best soundtracks of all time and if there's one thing she got historically correct...it was that Marie Antoinette wore converse!!! True!

  There's a behind the scene video on YouTube made by one of the crew members and it's so fun to watch. Love it
