This show is The Sopranos meets Scarface, set in the gritty streets of Gotham City.Cristin Milioti: I’ve loved her ever since she played The Mother in How I Met Your Mother, but this performance? Incredible. And those eyes! Even Christina Ricci would be like, “She’s got some stunning eyes.”
Colin Farrell: What in the actual f#%k. This guy doesn’t just act—he transforms. His portrayal of Penguin is monstrous, chilling, and absolutely unforgettable.

This film is a masterwork, though it makes some questionable narrative choices—spending too much time on certain periods while sacrificing relationship development and other, perhaps more compelling, aspects of the story. With the run time as it is, another 15 minutes could have rounded out these jagged edges, making the film even more epic. If you’re going big, go all the way.
