loved the subversion! loved that Ria was right! I was dreading a moment where the film would concede ground re its framing of the institutions of heterosexuality/marriage/the family as sinister and untrustworthy forces. instead, it doubled down + said no actually that shit is even more sinister than it appears!!!! a delightful surprise.
