Wild Strawberries 1957
Absolutely beautiful, words alone cannot describe the anguish of regret one could experience looking back on the past, especially at such an old age. Bergman perfectly captures that emotion with the space of the shots as well, being a foundation for the acting and screenplay. This movie made me think about my own life and how much things I could have done better and reminded me that it’s best to come to terms with those mistakes and to try to make amends. Always, always, always remember to be the kind of person your future self would look back fondly on.
