The Love Witch is a sharp, satirical exploration of feminism, gender dynamics, and the objectification of women. The Red Shoes

    ★★★★½

The Red Shoes is a meditation on the price of artistic greatness. It asks whether creative genius must always come at the expense of a normal life and suggests that for some, passion is both a gift and a curse. The film’s enduring impact lies in its exploration of this existential struggle, making it a masterpiece of cinema and a timeless reflection on the nature of art. Truly a remarkable and visceral watch!

i absolutely adored this movie, i do think it was dragged on for some parts but the surrealism was so beautiful to witness, on the contrary i felt more connected to the movie because of that. i think the message is so clear, lee’s character had to have a full circle moment from longing for connection to being happy on his own, to overcoming addiction (both drugs and love) to control it.
