Parte I è quello che è piaciuto di più a Carla. Mentre la Parte II, quella di meno nonostante sia quella più riconosciuta dalla critica. Invece, la Parte III è piaciuta molto a Carla, perché similmente alla prima, le faceva sentire suspense. è da avvertire, che Sofi Coppola, nella terza parte ha ricevuto molte critiche su come ha svolto il ruolo di Mary Corleone; egli ingiustificate dal mio punto di vista, sopratutto considerando che lei non voleva fare l'attrice e l'ha fatto soltanto per aiutare il suo papa. Uma Thurman fu considerata per questo ruolo.
