Strong performances from the whole cast but was a bit disappointed that the Christchurch earthquake wasn’t explored further in the movie. They could have depicted how difficult it was to find rehearsal venues (the town hall wasn’t reopened for eight years!), the anxiety and disruption that children experienced… Instead it felt like the earthquake only affected a few characters and could have been interchanged with a car crash without impacting the plot
