  Maybe the filmmaker who best captures men’s emotions is Alexander Payne. He did it masterfully with Sideways and does it again with The Holdovers. I’ve already seen this movie about three times and will probably watch it a few more. And in his films, women are never just accessories—Maya had her own story in Sideways, and Mary does too in The Holdovers.

  I know, I am biased, but this film is amazing. 
  Fernanda Torres face sets the timing of the story. It is like her facial expressions change when a new chapter in the story starts.
  Hopefully, this film will be remembered for years to come.

  An amalgamation of Arrival, Alien, Tonald Drump, and Dolly the sheep.
  The film starts off strong, with a great subtle humor, completely engrossing. However it completely loses its pace by the last hour. It becomes slow and a bit pointless. It could have been 20 minutes shorter.
  Pattinson is absolutely great. He delivers a great performance while sharing the screen with... himself.
