Such an underrated piece of Australian cinema. the soundtrack is phenomenal and the exploration of toxicity in male relationships is so disturbing to watch, especially with the intense subject matter. the young cast is brilliant at portraying the horrid events that take place in the film. although it misses some of the more interesting moments of enright’s original play (e.g. the relationship between rachel and her brother and deeper explorations of cherie’s character), this movie succeeds in the themes it wishes to portray
