  it makes so much sense that this is the same person who directed lady bird. there are so many parallels between frances and christine, the awkwardness, the impulse to ramble, trying to fit into conversations.

  i did find the pacing a bit slow, but frances and sophie’s dynamic stood out, especially in how they’re both trying to figure themselves out, whether through conversations or their careers. 

  frances was hard to digest at times, especially with how sophie repeatedly disrespected her.…
