A genuinely enjoyable watch, Glen Powell’s take on a philosophy professor notwithstanding.

Having attended high school in Parkersburg, WV in the early 2010s, this hit close to home in a way few movies ever have. I’m privileged to not have been affected in any significant way by the C-8/PFAS issues in the region (at least as far as I know). But for me as a current law student, this movie invoked both introspection to be wary of ways that power and financial gain can corrupt, and also inspiration to do some good with the privilege of a legal education that I’ve been given.

Grief transformed into acts of love. Some pretty great acting all around, but special performance from Da’Vine Joy Randolph in particular. You’re not likely to see more emotion in a handshake as you do at the end of this one.

Loved the ending and completely clear why this won for sound mixing.
