  Fun to be back in Middle Earth but this one doesn’t soar to the same heights as what has come before. The animation style is beautiful, the story fall a bit short for me.

  Rewatched this one in anticipation for Andor season 2. This movie is to me the best Disney Star Wars project we have gotten to date, and as much as I’d like that statement to be a high bar for its competition…it isn’t sadly. Beautiful visuals in this on top of a great story to back it. The nuance of complexity to the rebellion that is explored in this is what sets it apart the most to me.

  Jude fuckin Law ain’t playing no games in this! Nazis have never been in and this movie further solidifies the point. Jude Law’s performance made this for me not sure I’d rate it as highly without him in this.

  First time watching this all the way through. Not much to say that hasn’t already been said before. Another Kurosawa film that has gone on to inspire many a filmmaker and I now understand why.
