  Star Trek: Generations 1994

  Really enjoyed this upon rewatch. The Enterprise D gets the Roger Deakins look while the music gets a dreamlike emotionality unlike anything Star Trek ever has had. The Nexis sequence is very engaging, like taking a shot of nostalgia straight to the brain. While the movie is slow and the climax muddled by a lackadaisical time-travel element, really think this movie deserves to be remembered better. It’s very good and mature in ways all the other Picard-era films are not.

  Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country 1991

  Great send off for the original crew. Good movie. Love everything it’s about. “Go to hell,” might be my favorite line from these first six movies. The equivalent of a Marvel payoff pre-Marvel.
