  Mixed thoughts on this. Technically speaking it’s great (though sound design felt less impactful than Civil War’s), but the neutral stance the film takes on the nature of war feels less interesting than it could’ve been. Underused Kit Connor.

  If you told me in January that the best movie I’d see this year would be a 3 and a half hour epic about brutalist architecture that takes as much from Paul Thomas Anderson as it does Oppenheimer… I’d be a bit skeptical but not that skeptical.

  Adrien Brody gets that Oscar or we riot.

  I found this movie intellectually stimulating.
