Poor Things 2023
I’m glad Yorgos Lanthimos was able to make a movie about abuse, fetishism and child porn while being able to slap a sticker labeled “feminist” on it. Victoria is a child, essentially a 1 year old in the beginning in the movie (she doesn’t even know how to walk correctly yet. Children learn how to walk around 1-2 years old) and this movie forces me to watch her be raped. Yet it disguises itself as self exploration and enlightenment.
