Ayo was great! This is definitely a better Blink Twice…any other Black woman would’ve caught at least ONE body in the movie

Lincoln Center AMC: I saw the Warner Brothers shield at the beginning and knew it was about to be an instant classic…I was wrong. I don’t even have the energy to look up explainer videos to tell me about all the plot holes.

Empire 25: Phenomenal. My biggest gripe with Jim Crow-era films is the overuse of racial slurs, which I find increasingly tacky in today’s context. However, this gripping movie transcended the usual reliance on low-hanging fruit seen in films like Django Unchained. Notably, it was directed by RaMell Ross, a Black filmmaker who masterfully brought Colson Whitehead’s novel to life. He deserves immense praise for offering a fresh perspective on an essential chapter of American history.

AMC 34th St: Once the movie officially ended—post-credits and all, including a surprising Hugh Grant cameo—my girl turned to me and said, “If Paddington 2 was a 5, then Paddington in Peru is a 4.7.” And honestly, I couldn’t agree more. I really appreciate how they tied up every storyline while weaving in callbacks to the previous films. Now, I just need to finally watch the first Paddington—it’s on my to-do list. This movie had girls throughout the theater in tears, and there’s something undeniably special about that.
