  Captain America: Brave New World 2025

  The tone feels like a love letter to Harrison Ford’s political thrillers of the ‘90s.

  I appreciated the greater emphasis on action featuring real people in real places than some Marvel outings, but man, this movie’s cinematography feels boring and muddy in the talkier moments. 

  Also, absolutely wild choice to pick up on so much lore from a nearly 20 year old movie the MCU has basically disowned. But I did enjoy the continued thread with Isaiah Bradley, one of the more compelling parts of Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

  File Furiosa alongside George Miller’s several other sequels that slap, from Babe: Pig in the City to Happy Feet Two to The Road Warrior, of course.

  Beyond the usual compliments to the script and acting, this time I was really enamored with the Sergio Leone-style action! The part with The Wolf lags for me a bit, but otherwise, it’s hard to find anything to complain about.
