    A Real Pain

    Boring. DNF.

A boring family holiday home movie where one of the leading characters is a self centered prick

Incorrectly labelled as a comedy. Not funny, and has some very unsettling serious moments. Had potential with its themes.

Second worst of the Oscars this year, only beaten by the Substance

  • The Beekeeper

    Absolutely badass combat

There are so many bee themes. Even the police office roof is a subtle hive pattern

The backstory makes just enough sense to motivate the action. Actually quite funny

A better hitman movie than the Hitman movie

Funnier and more well written than some of Oscar nominations this year

Not worth the Imax ticket. If I want to watch a long, boring, black and white film I'll do it at home.

A small handful of memorable shots in the whole film, some of which I could have seen just from the trailer.

Uncomfortably and constantly loud for loudness sake. It could have sounded nice and I would be able to focus more on the dialogue and plot otherwise.

Secondary characters are hard to remember, making the plot untangle in the second half.

A couple of the scenes were pretty funny.

Deserves a second viewing at home

I've been enjoying mid 2000s movies recently. There's something comforting and nostalgic about the the era with flip phones.

It meanders though it's loose plot, but in a wistfull way. It touches on interesting points of life experience and marriage, but leaves it well enough alone for the audience to fill in the gaps.

It's strange but kind of nice to see ScarJoe around my age.
Bill Murray's character says and does some things that would not fly in today's society. His jaded honesty is funny and refreshing.

There's one scene in this movie which should really make it not an M rating
