This film certainly brings something new to the table in the Creed/Rocky franchise, most notably of all in the way the fights are shot. I understood the choice behind the way the Conlan rematch was shot, showing Adonis analysing his opponent to identify weaknesses. Great performances all around, with particular standouts being Joel Kinnaman, Idris Elba, and Margot Robbie. However, a number of deaths added nothing to the story or to other characters' development, instead being used merely for cheap comedy.
