True Romance 1993
This film soars when You're So Cool dances under Tony Scott sunsets, and Patricia Arquette narrates over them. Arquette is magnetic every time she's on screen.
Then it rips you away to follow Christian Slater into some high-Tarantino scenes that have aged terribly. Oldman, Walken, and Gandolfini's scenes all stick out like revolver in your waistband.
In the commentary for the (really bad) alternate ending, Tarantino describes Scott's take on his script as faithful but closer to a fairytale. I think True Romance could have been perfect with a little bit more of that fairytale.

I can't believe it took me so long to watch this. It's so perfect that it's making me rethink every other 5 star I've ever given.

Nosferatu 2024
I really wanted to like this - love the concept, love The Witch and The Lighthouse. Watching it, I felt nothing but a slight anxiety about when the next cheap jump scare was coming.
If I had to see one more Lily-Rose Depp scene of heavy breathing -> loud screaming -> mouth full of blood I'd have walked out.
Nicholas Hoult is fine; Aaron Taylor Johnson should be arrested for this. He's rotten.
EDIT: the doll challenge in Thursday's episode of The Traitors was scarier
