    all 3 of these stars are for Mikey Madison’s performance. outstanding and made the movie particularly painful.

    it just didn’t land right for me. it was well made and emotionally impactful but didn’t really lead to a strong takeaway. the ambiguity of the comedic tone through traumatic scenes did nothing but make the movie feel like it didn’t know its own characters. 

    deliberately uncomfortable and persistent, shaped like a days long bender and the subsequent hangover.
