  This film is the weakest of the revamped trilogy. Given that Jamie Lee Curtis had made clear that this would actually be the final Halloween film, one would expect that the focus would be on the relationship between Laurie Strode and Michael Myers, in order to round off the series. It therefore made no sense that the film chose to focus instead on relationship between Laurie's granddaughter and the troubled young man who becomes Michael's protogee.
